This study is for the purpose of founding out P. E. teachers' ability of evaluation compared with other subject teachers by making use of specificity section of evaluating the students (selection of evaluating ways, development of evaluating ways, conduction , marking , grading of evaluating, analysis , interpretation , utilizing , communication of evaluated result, morality of evaluating) and promoting the P. E. teachers' specificity in evaluation ability through analyzing the difference of evaluation ability based on the length of their service and the number of training
To achieve the purpose, we polled 200 P. E. teachers and 200 other subject teachers who work in Incheon and the collected data was analyzed with SPSS Version 12.0 for Windows by frequency analyzing, descriptive statistics and t-test analyzing.
The following is the conclusion of this study.
Firstly, P.E. teachers are more capable of evaluation than other subject teachers in every province (selection of evaluating ways, development of evaluating ways, conduction , marking , grading of evaluating, analysis , interpretation , utilizing ,communication of evaluated result, morality of evaluating).
Secondly, There is no difference among P. E. teachers in evaluation ability according to the length of their service.
Thirdly, P.E. teachers have some differences of evaluation ability according to their number of training..
In other words, P.E. teachers with more training have the high ability of evaluation in development of evaluating ways, analysis , interpretation , utilizing , communication of evaluated result, morality of evaluating. And there is no difference of evaluation ability in selection of evaluating ways, conduction , marking , grading of evaluating..
