This study is to examine the effects of music therapy using Ukulele for increasing self-efficacy and reducing stress of volunteers. The subjects of this study were 10 volunteers at I catholic church in Daegu. They underwent music therapy using Ukulele. This program was carried out during 12 sessions for 50 minutes per session once a week from September 3, 2016 to November 26, 2016. Before and after this program, SES (Self-Efficacy Scale) and Stress Scale were carried out for group. And then the test results were analyzed by SPSS WIN 17.0. It was found out that there was a significant improvement(p〈 .001) in the self-efficacy of volunteers. Also, the results indicated that the therapy was effective for general self-efficacy. It was found out that there was a significant reduction(p〈 .001) in the stress of volunteers. Also, the results indicated that the therapy was effective for role stress, relationship stress and satisfaction.
Therefore, it is possible to say that music therapy using Ukulele is effective in the improvement of self-efficacy and also in the reduction of stress of volunteers.
