The purpose of this study is aimed to find out how a sponsorship affects the achievements and performance of the badminton players who have been individually supported from the colleges, local governments and specific companies. In order to do this, I conducted a survey focusing on 330 of the players who participated in the game called ' the 62nd National Summer Badminton Championship' and now draw the following conclusions;
First, it is shown that sponsorship has a significant impact on the badminton players, considering their age and gender.
Second, the achievement is another factor to keep their position as a badminton players, based on their gender.
Third, according to their age and gender, there is a difference in their performance, especially the players who has higher age and are male have higher recognition for the performance.
Fourth, sponsorship also has a great impact on the badminton players' achievements.
Fifth, it has another impact on their performance. It is shown that their achievements, finally dealt with at this study has a great influence on the their performance.
From this study it is found that their performance would be improved if they were capable of having higher satisfaction and performance as a player not only through their physical or psychological factors, but also the benefits of sponsorship. The sponsorship, however, does not always bring desirable results to the players because the sponsorship contract would be a big burden or backfires to them as like getting higher performance or using the rackets or other equipments sponsored not matching with their preference and their own image. Though it could be seemed like a double-edged sword; having both sides, positive and negative aspects, it is prevailed that a sponsorship has more positive aspects that offset all of the negative ones to the players.
Through such a sponsorship, companies would take advantage of the players' fame and their performance in order to increase their profits and enhance their company's image while the players would have higher satisfactions and performance from financial supports. Therefore, the companies and players have a responsibilities to have a Win-Win strategy; the companies have to have a sponsorship not too burden to the players while the players show their higher performance to increase the company's image and profit.
