Due to rapid economic development, various environmental pollutions such as lack of water resources, climate change, and river pollution are becoming a problem. Wastewater generation is increasing due to the increase of water usage, which is becoming a problem of water resources. The production of soy-sauce produces a large amount of waste water. If the wastewater is not properly treated, large amounts of organic matter, nitrogen, and phosphorus will enter the environment and the ecosystem will be destroyed by water pollution such as eutrophication. Soy-sauce wastewater is generally high in chromaticity. It is known that the advanced oxidation process (AOP) using UV is severely limited to wastewater treatment. Based on the lab scale study of low temperature plasma, I studied the removal efficiency and removal mechanism of high concentration organic materials by applying to the full scale process. Plasma equipment is a device that reduces the pollutants of organic wastewater in the wastewater by using ions and radicals generated through the oxidation-reduction reaction of the glow discharge. Measurement analysis items were selected as BOD, SS, T-N, T-P, TCODmn SCODmn, TCODcr, SCODcr, NH₃-N, and NO₃-N for influent, oxidation, and effluent. The Removal rate were 99.79%, 99.71%, 89.62%, 99.80%, 98.84%, 97.63%, 99.58%, 98.71% respectively. and NO₃-N increased slightly. The treatment efficiency according to the temperature and ph was also analyzed. T-N was affected by temperature. the others were performed well without any effect.
