The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of job professionalism, job satisfaction, job attitude, and job stress on turnover intention for Speech-Language Pathologists.
For this purpose, 252 questionnaires were distributed to Speech-Language Pathologists, and the effects of job professionalism, job satisfaction, job attitude, and job stress on job turnover intentions of Speech-Language Pathologists are analyzed as follows.
The results revealed through this study are summarized as follows.
First, it can be seen that the younger the age, the higher the turnover intention. Therefore, it is necessary to figure out what causes are considered for turnover of Speech-Language Pathologists of low age.
Second, it can be seen that the lower the educational level, the higher the intention to change jobs. It is necessary to find out what kind of study or plan to do in order to strengthen the competence of Speech-Language Pathologists through qualitative research.
Third, it was found that the lower the position, the higher the intention to leave, and the higher the position, the higher the job stress, job satisfaction, job attitude, and job professionalism. It is necessary to increase the validity of qualitative research through in-depth interviews differentiated according to the position.
Fourth, it was found that the professionalism of Speech-Language Pathologists had a negative effect on turnover intention. In addition, it is necessary to find out more about the education that can be received in order to increase the professionalism of Speech-Language Pathologists.
Fifth, it was found that job satisfaction of Speech-Language Pathologists had a negative effect on turnover intention. It is necessary to find a way to lower turnover intention by accurately measuring sub-variables that can increase job satisfaction.
Sixth, the job attitude of Speech-Language Pathologists was found to have a negative effect on turnover intention. Appropriate programs are needed to positively influence Speech-Language Pathologists' job attitudes.
Seventh, job stress of Speech-Language Pathologists was found to have a positive effect on turnover intention. There is a need for an appropriate program to find out the factors for job stress of Speech-Language Pathologists through in-depth interviews and to conduct qualitative research on ways to lower job stress.
From the above results, job professionalism, job satisfaction, job attitude, and job stress were found to be statistically significant. The higher the job professionalism, the higher the job satisfaction, the higher the job attitude, the lower the job stress, the lower the turnover intention. And it was found. It is considered that these results can be used as a reference to prepare a plan to lower the intention to leave.
