In this study, we are to find out the impact on social competence, class participation and school life adaptation when basic life-habits are formed in the lower grades of elementary school.
Although we recognize and educate the importance of basic life-habits, we want to know why cleanness, manners, rules and self-restraint are not avaliable. when basic life-habits are formed until the lower grades of elementary school, it affects the life and attitudes of children.
It is premised that the formation of basic life-habits in the lower grades of elementary school affects the school life adaptation, class participation of the upper grades and it helps to increase the sense of social competence.
The survey was distributed to 240 nurturer(father, mother, grandfather, grandmother etc) who are raising and having raising experience in the lower grades of elementary school and we used for 204 copies final research and analysis excluding non-response and negative responses.
In order to determine the effects of variables, we used Cronbach's α, Pearson correlation, paried t-test, simple regression, multiple regression analysis by SPSS 27.0 statistical program.
The main results of this study are :
First, basic life-habits, social competence, class participation and school life adaptation all showed positive correlations.
Second, Formation of basic life-habits and adaptation to school life have a significant effects. In the words when basic life-habits are formed children adapt well to school life, show high participation in class and improve social competence.
Third, It was found that the formation of basic life-habits had a significant positive effect on all relation between school life adaptation, class participation and social competence.
It is a basic data on basic life-habits that the nurturer want to be formed in the lower grades of elementary school and when it has formed, it has a positive effect on social competence , class participation and school life adaptation.
When you go up to th upper grade, a further study is needed that shows that 4 variables have an effect.
