The purpose of this study was to develop the teaching and learning models using information and communication technologies(ICT) for instruction in the five selected junior colleges. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, a conceptual framework for this study was proposed based on the most frequent ways and kinds of using ICT, the level of using ICT by professors, and the teaching and learning objectives in the instruction of junior colleges. Second, six teaching and learning models relevant to instruction of junior colleges were developed: presentation-based lecture instruction, presentation-based experiment톚ractice instruction, off-line discussion-based instruction, on-line discussion-based instruction, group production-based instruction, and personal production-based instruction models. Third, each model consisted of the specific teaching and learning steps, the essential activities, and the use ways of ICT by the introduction, body, and summary of an instruction. Fourth, worksheets and exemplary lesson plans for application were developed.
