The paper, which is about the royale tea culture in the early Chosun dynasty has been executed by examining king Tae-Jong's authentic record. It is possible to estimate the value of tea in Chosun dynasty through tea ceremony of an ambassador reception, tea-soup service at the royale religious ceremonies, tea poem system, female servant system in a government office, and a record that tea had been used as rewards to public servants. There is a record of tea-music and ambassadors paid tea cups and tea bottles as a tribute, too. The 31 records about tea in king Tae-Jong's authentic record will be helpful to further research and will enhance the necessity of translation to Korean of tea related materials.
