The purpose of thin study was to investigate the effects of squash and weight training program on physical fitness and serum lipids in females. The participants of the study were 14 females and they were divided into the squash-weight group(SW, N=7) and control group(CG, N=7). To evaluate physical fitness levels, cardiorespiratory endurance measured, muscular strength and endurance, body composition, and flexibility were. Also, the participants' anthropometric measurement was conducted. For the serum lipo-protein, TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, and AI were extracted and analyzed before and after the intervention. All exercise programs lasted for 12weeks, 3times a week, and 60 minutes in every session. A paired t-test were used for data analyses, with the critical value of .05. The results of this study were as follow: 1. Percent of body fat were significantly decreased after the intervention in both the SW groups. Cardiorespiratory endurance and muscular strength/ endurance/ flexibility were significantly improved in both the SW group. 2. The level of TC, LDL-C, HDL-C, and AI was significantly and positively changed, but that of TG was not. Results also indicated that both the SW group were superior to the CG after the intervention. Comparing exercise program, no significantly differences were found between the SW group, except for muscular endurance in which the SW was better than group. It was concluded that both the squash-weight training coupled program can be beneficial for young females.
