The selection of P (persons) is by far easier of the two sampling procedures in Q Methodology. The
procedures follow the same line as those used in most social research. P sampling is, like Q sampling,
anchored by Fisherian experimental design principles and small sample doctrine. The goal is to select
the sample with attention to known characteristics of individuals. Q sorting is a process by which an
individual sorts through the Q sample and assigns each item a score. This paper discusses the philosophy of science involving in the process of Q sorting with the interbehaviorism and the quantum theory.
