This paper is about establishment and organization of Songgungni-typed tombs. The purpose of this is to examine first, group of tombs found in the Songgungni Buyeogun and their types, structural characters. And, second is in the early tombs and dolmens and connected with bronze dagger. It is well known that Songgungni-typed tombs are lined group of dolmens, stone cists, standing slabstone on wooden coffin tombs and wooden coffin tombs and jar coffins, etc.
The typical site of established group of Songgungni-typed tombs suppose the group of tombs of Songgungni Buyeogun. This tomb's character was strongly influenced by the early tombs, after that, it had been another new essential parts. That is to say, the early tombs of essential parts including dolmens are constructions of mound, just one covering stone, existences and non-existences of a hole or many on the upper side of covering stone and becoming larger sizes of stone chamber and magnificent burial relics, etc. And new essential parts are arrangements of lined tombs in separate hill, appearances of second stage stone coffin, no more boundaries of a tomb, and hafted stone daggers and microblade and hafted arrowhead, etc. The groups of Songgungni-typed tomb of age is the transitional period from the early to the middle age. I suppose, they are tombs of the people of higher class closely related with Garakdong-typed tombs because their types are similar with potteries with double mouth rim and horizontal bands of oblique and rectangle dwellings.
Dolmen in the Songgungni-typed tombs is differently higher position among other types of tomb, because it's symbolic dolmen means it has function of main tomb and doesn't have stone chamber from locational and arrangemen-tal angles. Distributing dolmen places selected Songgungni-typed tombs of some structural characters and surrounding lined dolmens were Songgungni-typed tombs. This appearances of tombs have accepted by group of dolmens in the Songgungni- culture. Bronze dagger is related with the early Garakdong-typed culture, and its burial of a dead person큦 personal belongings with the corpse is inherited until Songgungni-culture period. I suppose, in the established and distributed period of Songgungni-culture, builders buried purposely crushed and naturally broken relics. Burial custom of Songgungni-typed tombs was changed that builders buried just a piece of dagger(a stone dagger and a bronze dagger) and pottery(a red burnished pottery and a pottery with eggplant design), but in the early age, burial relic was a set of dagger, arrowhead and pottery.
Establishment of Songgungni-typed tombs was that the tombs grouped stone cists or standing slabstone on wooden coffin tombs and wooden coffin tombs, jar coffins under by influence of the early tombs. The dolmen of that period was distributed second stage stone coffins or many covering stones by influence of Songgungni-typed tombs.
When lined stone chambers and linked boundaries of tombs constructed, the dolmen was changed to boundaries of kinshipped tombs and formation of different the people of higher class from early tomb. Therefore, the Songgungni-typed tombs reflects the influence of the tombs and society.
