The purpose of this study was to investigate th influence of korean traditional dance on anaerobic threshold(ventilation threshold, lactate threshold, heart rate threshold). Therefore, the present investigation was undertaken to examine whether maximal oxygen uptake and anaerobic threshold measured during incremental bicycle ergometer exercise would be affected by the exercise experience in korean dance group and normal student group. Eight korean dance group, and eight normal student group participated in the study. During each test, oxygen uptake was measured every 30 sec by auto gas analyser and heart rate was measured every 15sec by polar system. And anaerobic threshold was determined using ventilatory parameters following the V-slope technique. Lactate threshold in the korean dance group were significantly greater than the normal student group. But no statistically significant differences were observed between groups in ventilation threshold and heart rate thresholdIt was korean dance group were effective exercise mode for improving anaerobic threshold and cardiorespiratory endurance.
