This paper is about "Monday, September 17th 2007, Sunny Part 1", an interactive hangeul digital typography installation piece exhibited at Chairs on the Hill Gallery (RISD Alumni Show) and Hillstate Gallery (2007 Seoul Design Festival) during winter 2007. The work showed the digitalized font by Sang Baek's handwriting which was used to contruct a tree figure by the processing program. The contents of the tree was initially a portion from the diary written by Sang Baek which went through the process of being deconstructed by "Chosung", "Choongsung" and "Chongsung" and then being reconstructed to be the branches of the tree. The viewers were able to interact with the piece by the touch screen placed in front of the installation. It was about transforming the personal time and place of a diary to the opened time and place of the viewers by using interaction technology. In addition, it was about experimenting the convergence of the digital and the analogue to further develop other possibilities to express the beauty of Hangul.
