Japan is the second largest economic power in the world but Japanese container ports has been degenerated since 1980s due to the growth of developing countries in Asia. In order to overcome such a crisis, the Japanese government in cooperation with private sectors has been stepping up a Super-Gateway-Port strategy for improving the competitive power of container port in Japan and development of its own port industry.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is Promoting the Super-Gateway-Port project with the aim of achieving lower cost and proving better services than other major ports in Asia. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to study some changes on container terminal operator of Japanese Port Considering Super Gateway Port -with a Tokyo port corporation and Osaka DICT-.
