In Korea, the patient of Tsutsugamushi increase to 6 thousand in 2008. This study uses the DBDC Contingent Valuation method to estimate the economic losses due to the contagion of Tsutsugamushi fever. Survey groups are consisted of 100 patients and 200 references. According to the results, the WTP of representative respondent is higher, if he/her lives in cities, a higher burden of health insurance, a lower sensitivity of social risk factors(for example spoiled foods, environmental pollution, smoking etc.), a lower experience about the fatality of family, a higher income, a lower bid. The WTP of representative respondent are 2,918 KRW per month. And economic potential losses of the Tsutsugamushi are estimated at KRW 69 billions.
