This study aims to explore the cultural environment which MNCs are facing in global business. For this purpose, we firstly selected three culture variables and measured them by using competitiveness reports. Then we tried to classify the cultural categories of sixty countries and tested the differences by the category.
Sixty countries were classified into three and five categories (WEF) or three and six categories (IPS) through cluster analysis. From the result, sixty countries were distributed over the cultural categories and regional groupings. Albeit not for entire countries at each cluster, regional homogeneity is maintained at the individual region group of each cluster, to some extent.
Two-way ANOVA was implemented to test whether the difference of variables value by the category is statistically significant. The result showed that main effect of the cultural category is significant at all statistical level. However the main effect of regional group does not reveal the significant difference. Interaction effect between cultural category and regional group partially exits.
