The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of students’experience of school-activities on their career maturity in secondary education. Using the data from the 1st-5th years taken from the Korean Education Longitudinal Study, undertaken by the Korean Educational Development Institute, students were divided into several groups according to whether they had experienced club or student-council activities through latent class growth analysis. In addition, after identifying the differences between career maturity and subcategories among latent classes, the effects of experience of school-based activities and the changes produced were analyzed to determine whether or not they produced significant effects upon career maturity. As a result, students were divided into four latent classes; non-participating, low-participating, later-participating and participating groups, based on their changing patterns of club-activity experience. According to the students' experience of student-councils, four latent classes were classified as non-participating, earlier-participating, average, and increasingly-participating groups. Moreover, after controlling for students' SES and self-concepts, the career maturity of each latent class showed statistically significant differences in terms of experience of club-activities and student-council experience. In conclusion, club-activities and student-council experience in school had a number of positive effects upon career maturity.
