The purpose of this research is to examine the situation of the multicultural education and religionus education for the social integration in Germany. The upright understanding of another religion is a must-have as a capable world citizen. As globalization is in fast progress these days, multiculturalism and the pluralism of values is appearing, but the general merits and norms are also in need. In other words, as people’s living ground is being extended around the world, their living style, awareness and view cannot help but change likewise. On the other hand, problems and conflicts still exist due to different religious beliefs. Ultimately, learning coexistence and harmony in a multicultural society is a kind of peaceful education that can contribute in achieving human’s common goal. Additionally, acquiring these values will act as an education process that will enable us to become a competent global citizen. In this point of view, the introduction of an ‘Islamic religion class’ in Germany, a country in which public institutions in almost every state operate Christianity and Catholicism as their regular course, is a good example of a mutual-religious understanding based on multiculturalism. Of course more time and effort is needed for this attempt to satisfy the majority of German citizens at the same time and to bring forth a good result on the side of social integration. Nevertheless, the German society’s process of solving this problem that was once enlarged to an ideological dispute, will definitely provide many suggestions to our society. This research will especially display a new point of view on minimizing the foreseen religious complications in our society and moreover, a novel teaching method.
