The radioactive catastrophe in Fukushima revealed the dangers of nuclear power. The imminent unsafety, the danger of spent nuclear fuel, the ambiguity between nuclear power and nuclear weapon, anti-democratic and anti-life characters of nuclear power were shown by this catastrophe. The nuclear experts in Korea claim that Korean nuclear reactors are much safer than the reactors in Fukushima. However, they are not quite different than other nuclear reactors in the world. Because of the limitedness of uranium the dependency on nuclear energy in Korea can lead in thirty years to the collapse of energy supply system. The only wise choice is the sustainable energy system based on renewable energy sources like solar and wind energy.
