The purpose of this study is to provide a empirical material in legislation on the intoxicated regulation.
Data of 430 survey were used. To categorize the reasons of police action, factor analysis method was conducted, and to understand the impact of each factors to the police action multiple regression analysis was conducted.
Results are as follows.
First, the respondents agreed with the strengthening police action and the intoxicated in the streets should be sentenced severer than now.
Second, as a results of factor analysis to categorize the reasons of the strengthening police action, three factors-preferred recognition factor, the intoxicated's danger factor, and the intoxicated experience factor-were categorized.
Third, having the better recognition of drinking, they didn't want to strengthening police action. But, having the more experience and danger of the intoxicated, they wanted to strengthen the police action and severer punishments to the intoxicated.
