The purpose of this study is to verify the structural relationship of variables affecting school adaptation, namely the multicultural self-efficacy of children from multicultural families and the level of social adaptation and the educational support for their children of mothers from multicultural families. For this study, data from research conducted by KEDI were analyzed. The results of this study, achieved through structural equation modeling analysis, are as follows. First, the structural model was verified to have a reasonable fitness by the goodness-of-fit test. Second, it was shown that multicultural self-efficacy of children from multicultural families directly affects school adaptation of the children. Third, it was shown that the educational support that mothers from multicultural families give to their children directly affects the multicultural self-efficacy of the children. Fourth, it was shown that the level of social adaptation of mothers from multicultural families directly affects the educational support that the mothers give to their children. The results imply that educational support is critical in enhancing the multicultural self-efficacy of children from multicultural families in order to improve their school adaptation.
