The purpose of this paper is to explore two perspectives of moral emotions and multiple identity in the types of ethical culture. Of moral emotions, firstly, there are the nondeliberation nature and the partial nature. In particular, emotions do themselves perform three moral functions: moral guide, moral motivation, and interaction with others. With regards to identity, secondly, diverse cultures have enables those in communities or groups to have its multiple feature in different places where they identify themselves or are identified. Thirdly, human beings have persistently lived their ethical lives in two types of ethical cultures of community(based on the conception of the good) and civil society(based on the conception of the right. However, both types is seen as the one place of our ethical lives, not conceptually divisible. At the moment, we have different but simultaneous features of moral emotions and identity in each type that has its own foundation of virtues. As our future task of leading desirable ethical culture society in harmony of the two types, therefore, a combination between emotion and reason grounded by virtues needs to be developed in the emotional perspective of education.
