The city provides big screen and pervasive screen experiences as an expanding media environment. This current research examines the diverse explorations of urban screen experiences through the perspective of media art and design. First, though big screens such as media facades, the concept of "the shared screen for looking together" can be examined, and how this concept of screen has changed into the concept of "the screen that can be participated and controlled together" by combining its experience with interactivity. Second, in the examples of ‘community games’ and ‘big games’ that exploit mobile phones and wireless network technologies, the screen experiences has been expanded to look at the city as a stage for diverse temporal and spatial experiences and recognize the city itself as a big screen. Through this examination, this research looks at the city as a public space and a media environment where the public can freely participate and express themselves. In addition, to where the subject of content production changes from professional planners and artists to the viewer and the audience. In addition, this research looks to "interactivity" at a critical and aesthetical level between human and human as well as human and society. Thus, this kind of critical and aesthetic art and design practice expects to help to alter our city from the living place to the public space for community engagement to share meaningful memories.
