This study is intended to work out new measures to make paragliding active in Korea by helping it establish its own value and adapt to changing environment.
In order for the domestic paragliding industry to develop, reenforcement of its stability is first of all required. In this regard, it is necessary to intensify training programs for instructors, perform thorough examination of safety accidents, if caused for reason liable to instructors, and systematically monitor qualification standards for instructors.
Second, measures should be taken to train paragliding instructors who are equipped with theoretic as well as practical knowledge of paragliding and are able to instruct paragliding in a safe and interesting way.
Third, local economy as well as paragliding itself may be vitalized, if two-seater paragliders are developed for possible use of test flight and for sports tourists as well.
Finally, it is requested to build basic run-field for paragliding and spread economic equipment to popularize paragliding and reduce safety accidents, for which the government is expected to be more positive to activate and develop paragliding activities in the country.
