This study focused on the relationship between the characteristics of journal papers published in cultural economics in Korea and the research category of papers. Based on the prior studies, we found three characteristics of journal papers, such as the object of research(pro-profit or nonprofit organization), research method(theoretical or empirical), and the type of authorship(single- or co-authorship). Using 173 papers published in the past 14 years in Cultural Economics Journal by the Korea Association for Cultural Economics, we found that the papers researching pro-profit organizations, using empirical methodologies, and having multiple authorship tend to be in the area of Management and Economics area.
