본 연구는 일본 사가현의 지리적 배경, 지역관광 특징 및 한국 문화와 역사인물 관련 장소성을 고찰하였다. 사가현은 일본 규슈 서북부에 위치하고, 사가시의 도시관광을 비롯하여 가라쓰 성곽과 나고야성터, 요시노가리 야요이 유적, 아리타와 이마리의 도자기마을, 다케오와 우레시노온천 등 관광자원을 갖고 있다. 지역관광 토대를 형성하는데 한국의 문화와 역사인물이 중요 역할을 하였고, 한반도로부터 문화를 수용한 야요이시대의 장소성, 백제로부터 고급문화를 수용한 고대 일본의 장소성, 임진왜란과 조선포로를 통해 실현된 일본도자기 문화의 장소성, 제주 올레를 토대로 한 규슈 올레의 장소성을 확인하였다.The purpose of this study is to examine geographic backgrounds, regional tourism characteristics and places related to Korean culture and history in Saga Prefecture, Japan. Saga is a prefecture in the northwest part of Kyushu and has major tourism resources(Karatsu castle and Nagoya ruins, Yoshinogari Yayoi village, Arita and Imari ware villages, Takeo and Ureshino Onsen including Saga city toutism areas). It has been confirmed that Korean cultural and historical figures(characters) played an important role in shaping the groundwork for Saga tourism. The study provides four meaningful senses of place(the sense of Yayoi period accepted Culture from Korean Peninsula, the sense of Ancient Japan accepted High Level Culture from Baekje, the sense of Japanese Ceramic Culture realized through Japanese invasions of Joseon(Chosun) and war prisoners, and the sense of Kyushu Olle based on Jeju Olle).
