Recently, among social economy organizations, attempts to create mutual aid are spreading. Jumin-Hyeobdonghoes(Community Cooperatives) are the first example among these attempts. Looking at the activities of Jumin-Hyeobdonghoes, they are confirmed that alleviation from financial exclusion of the poor, the establishment of an autonomous safety net, the realization of empowerment, and the socialization of ties. This study, which noted this meaning, selected Jumin-Hyeobdonghoes as a case and explored at how the mutual aid operated by the poor was organized. Institutional isomorphism theory was used as a theoretical tool for analysis. The results of the study showed that a specific organizational field was formed in the field of self-sufficiency projects, and that institutional isomorphism, especially the overlap of normative isomorphism and mimetic isomorphism, has occured within this organizational field. The emergence of Jumin-Hyeobdonghoes, an example of organizationalization based on the self-help of the poor, are the product of this institutional isomorphism.
