This study analyzes the cultural role of Vladivostok in the Far East, which is building its status as the center of Russian culture. In addition, the cultural elements of Vladivostok, which effectively play the role of the center of 'culture-eco-tourism', a new form of tourism in the Far East, are being considered.
Since mid-2010, Vladivostok, which has been included in the economic space of Eurasia's Northeast Asia region, has been actively trading with the Asia-Pacific region as the function of a moving maritime city has been further strengthened. Today, Putin's federal government is making Vladivostok, which has become a world-class logistics and economic space, into "Russia's new cultural center". For the realization of these projects, excellent cultural infrastructure is being built in Vladivostok, including the installation of annexes of representative theaters and museums in Russia. Therefore, Asian-Pacific people no longer go to Moscow and St. Petersburg in search of the pearl of Russian art, but to Vladivostok in the geographically nearby Far East.
Vladivostok is emerging as a center of 'Culture-Ecotourism', where you can enjoy traditional Russian culture including Russian classical art while experiencing the unique nature and life of indigenous peoples in the Far East including Primorsky. This is contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of the Russian tourism industry and creating a unique tourism brand in the Far East. In particular, ‘Culture-Ecotourism’ is highly likely to become an attractive travel program for tourists from the Asia-Pacific region to enjoy European culture in Russia comfortably without long-distance flight.
