In this study, the relationships among tourist’s acceptance motivation, trust and use intention of lodging applications are analyzed based upon UTAUT2 (extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology). The data of 309 Chinese tourists using lodging applications were analyzed through factor analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.
As the results show, acceptance motivation of tourists using lodging applications has statistically positive relationship with use intention and also trust. The tourists’ trust on lodging applications has a positive effect on use intention.
Especially performance expectancy and innovativeness among the acceptance motivations increase positively the level of use intention while facilitating condition among the acceptance motivations strengthens positively the level of trust on lodging applications. Finally upon the special results, the future lodging applications will be built upon the formation of sympathy and creativity through the fourth industrial revolution technology.
