This narrative study explores the musician’s transformative learning experience. For the study, the author collected narratives of a seasoned professional musician through a life-story interview method. The author then analyzed the records utilizing the self-devised transformative learning phases. The study’s result includes the following: First, the musician’s transformative learning can cultivate a universal proprioception centered on instrumental-specific skilled movements. Second, the musician’s transformative learning can restore the soul-body-sound relationship as a musical agent. Third, the musician’s transformative learning can reform musical identity and educational values. The study offers the possibility of professional musician’s lifelong transformation and an intrinsic value-centered music performance education paradigm. This study contributes to underrepresented qualitative performance studies in transformative learning theory and practice.
