This study aims to explore a new possible application of quantitative analysis, the use of which in the arts has been limited to a visualization tool. For this purpose, this study examines the current assessment of William Forsythe’s work, which has been widely described as chaotic, disordered, and deconstructivist. This study conducts a style-frame analysis of One Flat Thing, reproduced(2006), and interprets the results through complex theory, specifically emergence, feedback, and co-evolution. This study reveals that Forsythe’s choreography moves towards spontaneous order and implicit regularity rather than deconstructivism. Ultimately, this study provides an empirical basis for the practical value of quantitative analysis as both an analytical tool and a conceptual framework. Quantitative analysis will contribute to a systematic analysis of art and to strengthen future attempts in art studies.
