Nowadays in Korea, the interest in medical treatment through music for handicapped children has. Also the recognition of its necessity has also increased. When carrying out music treatment, not only the preparation and formation of it, but also the positive attitude in attending the therapy is a very important factor in leading music treatment into success.

This study has a meaning in that it has presented a specific direction in performing a more efficient music treatment for handicapped children by collecting and analyzing master's degree papers about Korea's music treatment, and also in that it has offered basis data for various and well-balanced experiment.

In order to carry out an effective music treatment, severe preparation is indispensable. First of all, investigate your patients' problem and the part where they a diagnosis. Second, set a goal to fulfill your patients' needs. Third, continue music activities in order to achieve your goals. Fourth, apply your music activities to your patients and evaluate their reactions.

In this thesis, by looking into the study process using music treatment, the process was divided into the application time and other dependent time figure, activity methods, evaluation of reactions and then was analyzed. For the analysis of the results, they were largely divided into experiment study, researching study and document study and experiment study is again divided into the parts of disorders. Those parts were expressed in a comprehensive survey and effects of dependent variables.

Although music treatment has been operated simply as a supporting treatment at hospitals, it is gradually gaining its independence is no longer troubled by the patient's age or their symptoms. People are also recognizing it as proper and efficient medical treatment form.

In Korea, however, music treatment is on its early stage. In order to develop as a part of clinical pathology, first, there needs to be professionals in music treatment who has upright recognitions.

Second, there needs to be educational centers for music treatment and an official education system for it as well. The place where music treatment professionals system for it as well. The place where music treatment professional are educated is quite related to the direction of education. Therefore, when education is actively promoted, the educational field and the clinical field will develop together. Also, research organizations and educational institutions for disabled children must be fostered nationally.

Third, in order to develop human perception ability, ability to express communication, social recognition ability through music treatment, diverse programs must be progressed.

Music treatment is regarded as an important remedy form and it manages many diseases which disabled people with developmental troubles undergo. It has presented a new direction for personal development and the pursuit of ultimate humanity and has opened an educational passage for those who don't have the right understandings of themselves and their surroundings due to physical disabilities. In other words, music as a treatment helps to form relationships in a non-linguistic way for people who have speech disorders. Music is a method of curing people and it has the power of connecting people. Also, it is applied into our lives extensively so that we can obtain skills we need in life. Music treatment is especially effective to developmentally disabled people who are isolated in real life.

By using music technically, it can help human to be more energetic and it also can form our body and mind to act as one function unit. That is why music which is used as medical treatment is operated as the power to change the ability form in human beings.
