Femme fatale, symbolizing a woman who not only seduces men with irresistible sex appeal and mysterious, but also causes misfortunes and brings them to ruin. Thus men, felt intangible uneasiness or fear for the femme fatales who rebelled the traditional patriarchical system. But in contemporary movies, Femme fatale, recreated from a feminine point of view, became a positive role model for modern women who had been hungry for success, by showing the image of girl power. In modern period, the Femme fatale image show the positive, confident and leading attitude, acquired public interest and stimulate the imitation mentality.
Femme fatale has becoming principle positive motive on the screen after miraculous growth of 1970's Korean movie industry.
Femme fatale has been developed own image expression through successive imitation, change, and adaption. By feminine, sexy, decadent aspect were mixed with mysterious, innocent image and they become to appear as a complex total image. It is difficult to define femme fatale image as a simple concept, also appeared in various ways by recreating through the transformation of motive.
Visual impacts of actor and actress are very important in movie to make movie more complete. Hair, makeup and wardrobe create another image of actor and actress in the movies through analyzed text of character. Actor/actress and space should express Mise en scene of character.
This study classifies the visualization of femme fatal's internal image and creation of character combined with space through 〈Open city 2007〉, 〈Insadong scandal 2009〉.
Visualization of character is very important and need to study with production design and narrative analysis . Because it is lead visual art, makeup, hair and wardrobe. And then it need to not only analyze scenario but also understand character and Mise en scene.
