연구목적: 본 연구는 한글판 Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA)를 개발하고, 이에 대한 신뢰도 및 타당도 검증을 시행함으로써 국내 뇌졸중 환자의 운동기능을 객관적으로 평가할 수 있는 평가도구를 제공하기 위하여 실시되었다.
연구방법: 한글판 FMA의 개발을 위하여 원저자로부터 FMA의 한글화에 대한 허락을 받은 후 번역과 교차문화 적응단계 절차(TCCA)를 거쳤다. 뇌졸중 환자 50명(남자 26, 여자 24)을 대상으로 운동기능평가 과정을 녹화하여 점수를 매겼고, 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 한 명의 작업치료사(A 평가자)에 의해 2주 간격으로 50개 녹화 테이프의 점수가 매겨졌다. 신뢰도는 급간내상관계수(ICC), 표준오차측정(SEM), 최소실제차(SRD)를 사용하여 계산되었고, 타당도 검증은 널리 쓰이고 있는 평가 도구인 젭슨-테일러 손기능 평가(Jebsen-Taylor hand function test), 장악력 평가(Grip power), 버그 균형 척도(Berg Balance Scale, BBS), 운동 평가 척도(Motor Assessment Scale, MAS)와의 동시 타당도를 조사하였다.
연구결과: 한글판 FMA의 각 항목에 대한 측정자간 신뢰도는 ICC가 .930~1.000, SEM은 .00~2.15, 그리고 SRD는 .39~5.96으로 나타났으며. 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 ICC .834~.972, SEM은 .85~3.25, 그리고 SRD는 2.35~9.00였다. 한글판 FMA의 상지 운동기능과 젭슨-테일러 손기능 평가의 동시 타당도는 r이 .757이었고, 하지 운동기능과 MAS의 동시 타당도는 r이 .725였다(p＜.05).
결론: 한글판 FMA는 뇌졸중 환자의 상지와 하지의 운동기능 평가 도구로서 신뢰도와 타당도가 높은 도구임을 확인하였다.
