This study examines the relation on social capital and welfare states. For this purpose, social capital defines as social network and trust and welfare states regards as decommodification. To figure out the relation between these variable, this study sets a path which is the relation on the social capital and a market, on the social capital and a a generosity of a institution.
The this research results are as following.
Social network and trust is effects on decommodication. Specifically, social capital mitigate the influence of a market and consequently improve decommodification. And social capital raise a generosity of a institution, also improve decommodification.
The results from this study are as following.
First, when it comes to define the welfare states, this study widen the research area of it. The consideration of social capital variable means the criticism and alternative of welfare states discussion.
Second, it is a importance on participation of civil society. In addition, it needs to study on the non profit organization (NGO) regards as supplement of welfare.
Third, this study give a implication that the social capital alleviate a docommodification.
