 KORAIL decided to introduce the wage peak system to all employees in 2015 which included regular work year extension(to 60 years old), and the wage peak system is being applied to more workers at the moment.

In this study, we analyzed the case study of the wage peak system implemented by KORAIL and the satisfactory survey about the employee's working condition and the wage condition to find out problem and explore the possible direction of development.

The structure of this paper is as follows. In Chapter 2, we studied the meaning of the aging society that causes the introduction of the wage peak system, we found out the current situation of the multiple social problems about the aging. In Chapter 3, we analyzed cases of introducing the wage peak system of public institutions, to compare KORAIL's with others. In Chapter 4, we studied the direction of wage peak system and wage system through conducting a questionnaire survey on employees with wage peaks, analyzing the impact of the wage peak system on employees at the site. In Chapter 5, we empirically analyzed the results of the research to analyze the correlation and reliability, and we verified the research results through verification of the hypothesis. And in Chapter 6, we proposed a desirable improvement direction. In Chapter 7 we summarized the research, and clarified the limits and implications of the research.

As a result of this study, we could see that there was a lot of dissatisfaction about the wage peak system overall, and we could perceive that the government's wage peak system support fund had the effect on the dissatisfaction through the individual interviews. Through this study, we would like to explore improvements and policy alternatives on the direction of the wage peak system implemented as an alternative to the aging society.
