본 연구는 A형 간염에 대한 예방행위 정도 및 건강신념 변수들과 A형 간염 항체 양성률과의 관련성을 조사하는데 있다. A형 간염항체 양성률의 교차비는 연령이 증가함에 따라 유의하게 증가하였고[1.210(95% CI, 1.158-1.264)], A형 간염 예방접종을 하지 않은 사람에 비하여 A형 간염 예방접종을 실시한 사람이 유의하게 높았으며[19.591(95% 신뢰구간 6.524-58.82)], 건강동기가 높을수록 유의하게 증가하였다[1.478(95% 신뢰구간 1.053-2.075)]. A형 간염항체의 양성률을 높이기 위해서는 건강동기에 해당하는 즉, 건강과 관련된 새로운 정보를 습득하고 건강할 때 스스로 병원을 찾아 검진 등의 관리를 하고 철저한 개인위생 및 예방교육과 A형 간염항체의 예방접종이 필요하다.
