이 연구의 목적은 국어과 교육과정 중 설득적 의사소통 역량과 관련된 교육 내용을 비판적으로 고찰하여 교육 내용의 개선과 체계화를 위한 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 1차부터 2015 개정 교육과정에서 설득적 의사소통과 관련된 성취기준 중 ‘내용 생성’과 ‘내용 조직’에 해당하는 항목을 중심으로 분석하였다. 관련 교육 내용을 핵심어로 정리하여 ‘내용 요소’와 ‘기능’을 귀납적으로 분류하고 범주화한 후 교육 내용 개선을 위한 방향을 살펴보았다. 이러한 분석을 통해 설득적 의사소통 역량의 교육 내용 요소를 학습자의 발달 단계에 따라 듣기·말하기/읽기/쓰기 등 제반 영역으로 위계화하여 배열함으로써 영역 간 공조를 실질적으로 강화할 수 있으며 교육 내용의 계열성을 확보할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이와 더불어 교육 내용을 ‘내용 요소’와 ‘기능’으로 확정하고 추가적인 정보를 덧붙여 제시하는 방식으로 성취기준의 진술 방식을 개선하면 교육 내용의 계열성을 확보하는 데 효과적임을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to perform a critical review on educational content related to persuasive communication in the Korean language curriculum and draw implications that improve and systemize its educational content. To do so, this study focused on analyzing items for ‘content creation’ and ‘content organization’ among other achievement standards for persuasive communication from the 1st to 2015 revised curriculums. By organizing relevant educational contents with keywords, this study inductively classified and categorized the ‘content elements’ and ‘functions,’ and then examined the direction for improving those educational contents. From such an analysis, this study confirmed that hierarchizing educational content elements for persuasive communication competencies in accordance with the learner’s development stage into the areas of listening and speaking, reading, and writing would enhance coordination between these areas and ensure the sequence of educational content. In addition, this study suggests that it would be effective to ensure the sequence of educational content if the description method of achievement standards is improved by determining ‘content elements’ and ‘functions’ and presenting additional information.
