이 연구의 목적은 고전 읽기와 박물관 교육을 통한 체험중심 인성교육의 방안을 탐색·개발·예시하는 것이다. 연구의 이론적 기초로서 체험중심 인성교육, 고전 읽기와 인성교육, 교육공간으로서 문학관과 박물관을 중점적으로 고찰하였다. 다산의 하피첩(霞帔帖)을 활용한 ‘고전 읽기’ 자료를 교실수업을 통하여 진행하고 난 다음, 실학박물관 체험을 연계한 체험중심 인성교육의 방안에 대한 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고전으로서 하피첩은 인성교육진흥법에서 제시한 8대 덕목(예, 효, 정직, 책임, 존중, 배려, 소통, 협동)이 포함된 것을 확인하였으며, 이들 핵심 덕목의 체화를 위한 체험중심 인성교육 자료를 개발․제시하였다. 둘째, 박물관 체험활동을 교과교육과 연계한 인성교육 자료를 개발·제시함으로써 전통문화체험을 통한 체험중심 인성교육의 가능성을 확인하였다. 셋째, 고전 읽기의 생활화를 위한 (비)교과 체험활동과 연계한 인성교육의 예시 자료를 개발하고, 그 실천방안을 제시하였다. 결론적으로 고전 읽기와 박물관 체험 활동을 통한 체험중심 인성교육은 교과교육과 연계한 거꾸로 교수·학습방법을 통하여 실천 가능하다. 후속연구로서 학년별 국어과 교과의 내용과 연계된 덕목과 관련된 고전 읽기의 자료를 목록화하는 작업과 고전 읽기와 박물관을 활용한 체험중심 인성교육을 위한 교사교육의 필요성을 제시하였다.
The purpose of the present study is to explore, develop, and illustrate the methods of experiential character education with classical reading and museum education. As a theoretical basis of the study, experiential character education, classical reading and character education, and literary museum and museum as education space were reviewed. The results of the study on the method of experiential character education in the Silhak Museum after ‘classical reading' using Dasan’s Hapichop(霞帔帖) in the classroom class were as follows: Firstly, we confirmed that Hapichop as the classics includes the eight virtues (courtesy, filial duty, honesty, responsibility, respect, consideration, communication, cooperation) proposed by the Humanity Education Promotion Act, and developed the materials for experiential character education for embodying these core virtues. Secondly, we identified the possibility of experiential character education through the experiences of traditional culture by developing character education materials that linked to museum experience activities with curriculum education. Lastly, we developed the examples of character education linked to (non) curricular activities for the classical reading and suggested action plans. In conclusion, experiential character education through classical reading and museum experience activities can be practiced through flipped learning methods in connection with curriculum. As a follow-up study, we proposed the task of cataloging the classical reading materials related to the virtues with which it linked to the contents of Korean language education by grade level, and the necessity of teacher education for experiential character education with classical reading and museums.
