This paper examines how two contemporary Western movies, 〈Hell or High Water〉 (2016) and 〈Logan〉 (2017) counter the current dominant ideology of America, and simultaneously internalize the conservatism. The two movies criticize American myth which lost its validity by deviating the background, character, and private/public values ​​that Western movies have used conventionally. However, both movies seem to return to conservatism by exposing a common unconsciousness toward the patriarch system and the next generation. Consequently, as a sign of Trump regime launching, 〈Hell or High Water〉 which combines American society dominated by the financial crisis of 2008 and the Western genre, and 〈Logan〉 which combines Marvel Hero movies with Western genre criticize the contemporary America and they bear the conservatism ultimately.
