본 연구의 목적은 한국과 중국 대학생의 노인에 대한 지식과 태도 차이를 비교하고 노인에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고자 한다. 한국 대학생 240명과 중국 대학생 218명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 SPSS 24.0 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 주요연구 결과로는 중국 대학생의 노인에 대한 태도가 한국 대학생보다 긍정적이며 노인에 대한 지식은 한국 대학생이 중국 대학생 보다 높았다. 회귀분석 결과, 노인에 대한 심리적 지식과 노인을 존경대상으로 인정하는 정도가 한국과 중국 대학생 모두의 노인에 대한 태도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 향후 경로의 전통사상은 지속적으로 계승되어야 할 것이다. 대학생의 노인에 대한 이해와 올바른 지식을 가질 수 있는 교육과 노인과의 교류 프로그램도 개발, 보급되어야 할 것이다.
