이 논문의 목적은 중국 유학생들이 한국 사회에 도착한 후 발생되는 상호간 교류 빈도와 앱(APP) 사용 빈도의 관계를 실증적으로 분석하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국내에 거주하고 있는 중국 유학생들을 대상으로 조사를 실시한 후 다중 회귀분석과 구조방정식을 이용하여 네 가지 가설들을 검증했다. 그 결과, 중국 유학생들 간의 상호간 교류가 빈번할수록 중국 유학생들 간의 공통 관심사를 취득하기 위한 중국 앱(APP)에 대한 이용도가 높아진다는 것이 발견되었지만, 한국 앱(APP)에 대한 이용도에는 통계적 유의미성을 발견하지 못했다. 동시에, 중국 유학생들이 한국 학생들과의 상호간 교류가 빈번할수록 한국에 대한 공통 관심사를 취득하기 위해 한국 앱(APP)의 대한 이용도가 높아진다는 사실이 발견되었지만, 중국 앱(APP)에 대한 이용도는 줄어든다는 가설은 기각되었다. 이 결과를 바탕으로 중국 유학생들의 한국 앱(APP)에 대한 이용도와 중국 앱(APP)에 대한 이용도는 독립적으로 존재한다는 것을 실증적으로 밝혔고, 베리(Berry)의 문화변용 전략(Acculturation strategy)을 바탕으로 제로섬 게임(Zero-sum game)이 최소한 이 논문에서는 발생되지 않았음을 발견했다.



The purpose of this study is to test how Chinese students’ intercourse types affect on their usage behavior of their a smart phone. Based on Berry’s acculturation strategy, Katz’s uses and gratification theory, the four different hypotheses were suggested. A survey method targeting Chinese students was performed with a multiple regression method as well as a structural equation modeling. After testing the four hypotheses, it was found out that familiarity with Chinese students is statistically significant with the content gratification of the Chinese APP at their smart phone, but is not significant with the usage of the Korean APP. Also, it was found out that familiarity with Korean students is statistically significant with the content gratification of the Korean APP at their smart phone, but is not significant with the usage of the Chinese APP. Based on this finding, the logic of the zero-sum game and Berry’s acculturation strategy was tested, and the a Zero-sum game did not exist in this research paper.
