초록보기

관광 4.0 기술은 관광객의 경험을 향상시켜 기억에 남을 관광경험을 창출하는 중요 요소로 간주되고 있다. 특히 증강현실(augmented reality: AR)을 활용한 체험형 콘텐츠는 관광객에게 가상의 환경에서 교육적 정보를 아름답고 즐겁게 제공하는 역할을 함으로써 관광객의 경험까지 증대시키는 역할을 한다. 이러한 스마트 기술은 관광객의 개인적 특성 또는 문화적 배경, 증강현실의 특징에 따라 관광객들에게 다르게 받아들여질 수 있다. 이에 이 연구는 두 가지 관광 동기 및 Pine과 Gilmore가 제시한 체험경제 4요인의 증강현실 만족도와 증강현실 지불의사에 미치는 복합적인 영향을 파악하고자 한다. 이를 위해 스페인 바르셀로나의 까사바뜨요(Casa Batlló) AR 동영상을 활용한 실험을 통해 데이터를 수집하였다. 총 56개의 데이터를 퍼지셋 질적 비교 분석(fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis: fsQCA)을 활용하여 분석한 결과, 높은 증강현실 만족도를 보이는 4개의 패턴과 높은 증강현실 지불의사를 보이는 2개의 패턴이 도출되었다. 특히 교육성은 높은 증강현실 만족도와 지불의사에 있어 가장 중요한 핵심 체험경제 요인인 것으로 나타났으며, 수동적 참여(오락성+심미성) 또한 고려할 수 있는 체험경제 요인으로 나타났다. 이는 만족도와 지불의사가 높은 증강현실 콘텐츠를 디자인할 때 우선적으로 교육성 있는 콘텐츠를 만들되 오락성과 심미성을 고려한 디자인을 함으로써 사용자의 참여를 유도할 수 있도록 하는 것이 중요함을 시사한다. 또한 증강현실 지불의사에 있어 관광객의 여행 동기에 따른 핵심 체험경제 요인이 다른 것으로 나타났다. 이는 관광객의 여행 동기에 맞는 개인 맞춤형 증강현실 서비스 전략이 필요함을 시사한다.
