[목적] 본 연구는 발달재활서비스 이용 실태를 알아보고자 전국 17개 시⋅도 발달재활서비스 바우처 제공기관을 관리하는 지자체를 대상으로 실태조사를 실시하였다. [방법] 이를 위해 전국 17개 시⋅도 발달재활서비스 바우처 제공기관 2,160개소에 대한 자료를 취합하여 2021년 8월 기준 기관 및 이용자 현황 자료를 분석하였다. [결과] 첫째, 장애유형별 서비스 이용 현황은 전반적으로 대부분의 장애 유형에서 언어재활서비스, 미술심리재활서비스, 감각발달재활서비스를 가장 많이 이용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 연령별 서비스 이용자 현황은 6세 미만(12,555명/29.1%)에서 서비스를 가장 많이 이용하고 있었으며, 전반적으로 낮은 연령대에서 서비스 이용자가 많이 분포되어 있었다. 셋째, 지역 및 서비스 영역별 평균 단가 현황 결과를 살펴보면, 전체 평균 단가는 41,610원이었으며, 수도권 지역(서울, 경기 등)이 대체로 단가가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 제공서비스 영역별로는 감각발달재활서비스, 놀이심리재활서비스, 운동발달재활서비스 순으로 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 지역별 발달재활서비스 제공기관은 경기, 서울, 경남, 부산, 경북 순으로 많이 운영을 하고 있었으며, 제공인력은 경기, 서울, 부산, 인천 순으로 나타났다. 마지막으로. 지역별 대기자 수는 서울, 경기, 인천, 전남 순으로 대기자 수가 많았으며, 평균 대기기간은 서울, 인천, 경기, 강원 순으로 길게 나타났다. [결론] 연구 결과를 바탕으로 이용자의 특성, 서비스 단가, 제공 인력 활용 측면에서 발달재활서비스의 효율적 운영을 위한 제언을 제시하였다.
