Recently, 3D printing is being widely applied in various industries and research fields. Fused deposition modeling (FDM) is one of the most widely used 3D printing methods. However, since the mechanical strength of the material is relatively weak in FDM printers, problems may occur when fastening between prints without separate fasteners. In this study, the fastening strength according to the fastening methods were compared when fastening between the prints of the FDM 3D printer. To this end, the fastening strengths of two prints with different fastening methods were compared by changing the material and process parameters. The strength of PLA was found to be higher than that of other materials. Moreover, when the triangle infill pattern was used, the fastening strength was the highest. In addition, the higher the density and the closer the build angle to the vertical, the stronger the fastening strength.
