호주장로회는 1946년 4월 한국선교회의 재건을 목적으로 한국상황을 조사하기 위한 2명의 대표를 파송했다. 그리고 한국전쟁 직전까지 2명의 목사와 3명의 여선교사들이 부산을 중심으로 한국선교회를 복구하려고 노력했으나 인력과 재정이 어려웠다. 1950년대에 19명의 선교사가 파송되었고 1960년대에 30명의 선교사가 파견되었다.

호주선교회는 2차 세계대전 이후 과거의 선교역량을 회복하지 못했고, 특수한 분야에 집중하는 선교를 했다. 전쟁 과정에서 일본으로 피신한 여선교사들은 일본의 한인을 위한 사역을 했다. 전후에 부산과 마산을 중심으로 여선교사들은 유치원 사역, 여성 죄수 방문과 교육, 출옥여성을 위한 재활시설 운영, 통영·거제·거창·진주 지역에 대한 광범위한 순회전도를 했고, 성경통신과정을 실시했다. 1952년 설립된 일신부인병원은 전쟁의 참화 중 부산지역에서 가난하고 소외된 여성과 어린이를 돌보고, 의사와 조산사를 훈련시키는데 가장 큰 공헌을 했다.

호주선교회는 장로교 선교회들의 지역 경계를 없애고 각 지역에서 인력과 재정의 불균형을 극복하자고 제안했다. 이것은 “현지교회 중심 선교방법”과 연결되어 1964년 장로교 통합총회 안에 협동사업부를 설립하게 했다. 모든 선교회들의 재정은 일원화 되었고 총회산하 협동사업부에서 집행하게 되었다. 1960년대 이후 호주선교회는 영등포산업선교회와 민주화운동을 지원했고, 장애우 재활을 위한 양지기술학교 운영, 소외된 여성을 보호하고 보살피는 여성 재활선교를 지원했으며, 신학교육에서 일정한 공헌을 했다. 호주선교회는 소외된 약자와 여성, 사회정의에 대해 일차적 관심을 가지고 있었고, 신학적으로는 복음전도를 강조하면서도 에큐메니컬한 특성을 강조하였다.

The Australian Presbyterian Church sent two representatives in April 1946 to investigate the situation in Korea with the aim of rebuilding the Korea Mission. Prior to the outbreak of the Korean War, two pastors and three female missionaries made efforts to revive the Korean Mission Church, focusing mainly in Busan, but they faced difficulties in terms of manpower and finances. In the 1950s, 19 missionaries were dispatched, and after 1960, 30 missionaries were sent.

The Australian Mission was unable to recover its missionary capabilities after World War II and focused on specialized areas of mission work. The Female missionaries who sought refuge in Japan during the Korean War engaged in ministry for the Korean community there. In the post-war period, female missionaries centered their activities in Busan and Masan, engaging in extensive itinerant work in areas such as kindergarten ministry, visiting and educating women prisoners, operating rehabilitation facilities for released women prisoners, and conducting widespread evangelistic tours in Tongyeong, Geoje, Geochang, and Jinju. Established in 1952, Ilsin Women's Hospital made the most significant contribution in caring for impoverished and marginalized women and children in the Busan area during the chaos of war, while also training doctors and midwives.

The Australian missionaries proposed eliminating regional boundaries among the Presbyterian Missions and overcoming imbalances in manpower and finances in each region. This led to the establishment of a cooperative department within the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in 1964, which was connected to the "Local Church-Centered Mission Method." All mission churches' finances were centralized and managed by the Cooperative Work Department under the General Assembly. Since the 1960s, the Australian Mission has supported the Yeongdeungpo Industrial Mission and the democratization movement, operated a vocational school for disabled individuals, supported women's rehabilitation mission for marginalized women, and made significant contributions to theological education. The Australian Mission had a primary focus on marginalized individuals, women, and social justice. Theologically, it emphasized evangelism while also highlighting ecumenical characteristics.
