본고는 이사야서에 나타난 다양한 양상의 하나님의 진노와 심판에 천착하고, 그 해석을 기반하여 성경적 정의가 회복적 정의를 지향하고 있음을 논증하는 것을 목적으로 삼는다. 이 연구는 기존의 학자들이 주로 신약성경의 기독론에 근거해 회복적 정의를 지지해 왔던 이론적 한계를 뛰어넘어, 구약성경 신학의 관점을 토대로 회복적 정의를 발전시킬 수 있다는 새로운 학문적 가능성을 제시하는 계기가 될 것이다. 또한 기독교 역사를 통해 많은 해석학적 어려움과 오해를 도출하였던 하나님의 진노와 심판이 회복적 정의의 방편으로서 언약 백성의 회복과 그들이 수행해야 할 열방 선교에 어떻게 기여하는지를 심도 있게 조망할 기회를 얻게 될 것이다. 이상의 목적을 이루기 위해, 본고는 크게 세 개의 중요 부분으로 구성된다. 먼저, 우리는 이사야서에 나타난 하나님의 진노와 심판과 관련하여, 성경적 정의가 보응적 정의와 회복적 정의 중, 어느 개념적 범주에 속하는지 논할 것이다. 다음으로, 논자는 하나님의 진노와 심판을 기술하는 이사야서 본문들(1:24-28, 10:5-11, 20-23, 19:23-25, 34:5-12, 52:13-53:12)을 중심으로, 그 진노와 심판의 양상과 목적을 회복적 정의의 관점에서 상세히 논할 것이다. 끝으로, 논자는 이사야서의 거대 구원의 담론(mega-salvation discourse) 속에서 하나님의 진노와 심판이 시온 백성의 회복과 열방 선교를 향해 어떻게 기여하는지를 살필 것이다. 이 논의는 성경에 기술된 하나님의 진노와 심판을 회복적 정의라는 새로운 관점에서 해석할 수 있는 학문적·실천적 기회를 제공할 것이다.

The primary purpose of this article is to approve that the biblical justice is pursuing to the restorative justice based on the thorough investigation of God’s anger and judgement in the book of Isaiah. This study will provide the new academic possibility to appreciate the restorative justice from the angle of the Old Testament biblical theology beyond the theoratical limitation which solely argues it based on the Christology in the New Testament. Also, it will give a chance to interpret God’s anger and judgement, the biblical theme which has given rise to the enormous amount of misunderstanding and confusion in the Christian history, from the new perspective of the restorative justice and its influence on the restoration of Zion and mission of the nations. To achieve this goal, this article comprises of three main parts. First, regarding the interpretation of God’s anger and judgement in the Book of Isaiah, we will define the point that the biblical justice prefers the restorative justice to the punitive justice. Second, we will explicate a number of texts in Isaiah which contain the theme of God’s anger and judgement in terms of the restorative justice(Isa. 1:24-28, 10:5-11, 20-23, 19:23-25, 34:5-12, 52:13-53:12). Finally, within the mega-salvation-discourse of Isaiah, we will see how God’s anger and judgement contributes to Zion’s restoration and the mission of the nations as the restorative justice. This study will provide the new academic and practical possibility to interpret God’s anger and judgement from the restorative justice.
