제4차 산업혁명 시대를 맞아 다양한 뉴노멀이 등장하고 있는 이때에 교회력을 거론한다는 것은 자칫 시대착오적인 발상으로 보일 수 있다. 팬데믹과 엔데믹을 지나 엔데믹 블루시대를 맞이한 현재 상황에서는 교회력 자체의 중요성이 약화되거나 평가절하하려는 경향이 다분하기 때문이다. 시간이 하나님의 창조물이며, 기독교가 시간을 중요시하는 종교임에도 불구하고, 기독교인들조차 시간의 효율성에 속박되어 세상의 시간을 살아가고 있는 것이 현실이다. 여기에는 ‘분초사회’라는 용어처럼 시간을 아끼고 밀도 있게 사용하기 위해 시간의 효율성을 극대화시키려는 현대인의 경향도 일조한다. 이러한 현실 속에서 기독교인들이 비록 크로노스라는 세상의 시간을 살아가지만 어떻게 해야 예수 그리스도 안에서 받은 은혜를 계속 기억하면서, 하나님의 시간인 카이로스를 올바르게 살아갈 수 있을 것인가라는 문제의식을 가지고 본 연구를 시작하였다.

본 연구 주제는 초대 교회를 거쳐 4세기에 이르기까지 확립된 교회력에 대한 올바른 인식과 재정립을 통해, 첨단 기술을 통한 즉시성의 문화와 그 어느 때보다 급격하고 과격하게 진행되는 극한적 속도의 시대를 살아가는 기독교인들에게 예수 그리스도 중심의 시간의 항상성을 일깨우자는 것이다. 그리하여, 유한한 시간 속에서도 무한한 카이로스를 지향하며 살아가게 하는 영구적 은총의 수단이 바로 교회력임을 재확인시키고자 한다. 이를 위하여 전체적으로는 문헌조사방법론을 사용하며, 극히 일부이기는 하지만 역사신학과 법학과의 간학문적인 연구 방법을 시도한다. 다음으로는, 성 어거스틴의 시간론이 가장 잘 나타난 『시간과 영원』을 중심으로, 교회력에 담긴 시간의 항상성이 얼마나 중요한 의미를 가지고 있는 지를 살펴볼 것이다. 결과적으로는, 이미 시간의 항상성 가운데 하나님의 시간에 맞춰 살아가고 있음에도 불구하고 미처 인지하지 못한 작금의 기독교인들에게 교회력과 시간의 항상성에 대한 참된 의미를 재발견할 수 있게 하고, 나아가 이를 통해 각자의 뉴노멀을 어떻게 정립하여 살 수 있을 것인가에 대한 제언으로 마치게 될 것이다.

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, when various new normals are emerging, discussing the church year may seem like an anachronism. This is because in the current situation, where we have passed the pandemic and the endemic and entered the endemic blue era, there is a strong tendency to weaken or devalue the importance of the church year itself. Although time is God's creation and Christianity is a religion that values ​​time, the reality is that even Christians are bound by the efficiency of time and live in the time of the world. The tendency of contemporary individuals to maximize the efficiency of time in order to save it and use it densely, like the term ‘minutes and seconds society’, also contributes to this. In this reality, although Christians live in the world's time called chronos, this study began with the awareness of the problem of how to continue to remember the grace received in Jesus Christ and properly live kairos, God's time.

The subject of this study is to create a culture of immediacy through cutting-edge technology and an era of extreme speed that progresses more rapidly and radically than ever before, through the correct recognition and re-establishment of the church year established from the early church to the 4th century. The goal is to remind living Christians of the constancy of time centered on Jesus Christ. Thus, we would like to reaffirm that the church year is a means of permanent grace that allows us to live toward infinite kairos even in finite time. To this end, this study uses a literature survey methodology as a whole, and although it is only a small part, it attempts an interdisciplinary research method from the departments of historical theology and law. Next, I will examine how important the constancy of time contained in the church year is, focusing on Time and Eternity, which is best expressed in St. Augustine's theory of time. Thus, even though they are already living according to God's time in the constancy of time, it enables Christians of today who were unaware of it to rediscover the true meaning of the church year and the constancy of time, and further, through this, each person's new normal. I would like to end the discussion with suggestions on how to live by establishing this.
