본 연구는 언론 보도를 통해 스포츠에서 발생하는 성폭력에 관한 사건을 기호학의 대표적인 학자 Saussure와 Barthes의 관점으로 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저, 언론 보도에 따른 스포츠 성폭력에 관련한 전반적인 서사구조를 통합체 분석 방법으로 분석하였다. 다음으로, 분석된 서사구조를 토대로 주체 간의 대립 관계 구조와 의미를 계열체 분석 방법을 통해 파악하였다. 끝으로, 도출된 분석 내용을 통해 보도된 내용이 내포하고 있는 함축적 의미를 해석하였다. 언론 보도를 통해 도출된 함축적 의미는 성폭력을 조장하는 체육계 문화와 허위 성추문 폭로로 인해 뒤바뀐 가해자와 피해자, 사건 이후에도 근절되지 않은 스포츠 성폭력으로 나타났다. 스포츠 성폭력 문제를 체육계는 개인의 문제라 치부하는데, 개인이 아닌 조직적 문제로 인식해야 한다. 성폭력 허위 사실 고발이 정치적 분쟁 거리 혹은 피해자 개인의 탐욕으로 추정되는 사건이 제기되는데, 성폭력 허위신고와 성폭력 무고죄에 대해 다시금 논의해볼 사안이라 판단된다. 스포츠계 성폭력 문제는 2008년 체육계는 폭력 및 성폭력 근절 대책 마련을 공표했으나, 15년이 지난 지금 정책의 변화도 성폭력의 근절에 대한 변화도 이루어지지 않은 실정이다. 이에 따라 체육계는 대책 마련보다 마련된 대책을 실천에 옮길 때라 판단된다. 본 연구가 스포츠 성범죄 보도가 내포하고 있는 이데올로기를 규명하고, 의미를 해석함으로써 스포츠윤리 인식 변화에 촉매제가 되기를 바란다.

This study attempted to analyze events related to sexual violence in sports through media reports from the perspective of Saussure and Barthes, representative scholars of semiotics. To this end, first, the overall narrative structure related to sports sexual violence according to media reports was analyzed by an integrated analysis method. Next, based on the analyzed narrative structure, the structure and meaning of the confrontation relationship between subjects were identified through the series analysis method. Finally, the implications of the reported content were interpreted through the derived analysis contents. The implications derived from media reports were the culture of the sports community that promotes sexual violence, the perpetrators and victims, and sports sexual violence that has not been eradicated even after the incident. The sports community dismisses the issue of sports sexual violence as an individual problem, and it should be recognized as an organizational problem, not an individual. There is a case in which the accusation of false sexual violence is presumed to be a political dispute or the greed of the victim, and it is believed that it is a matter to discuss false reports of sexual violence and false accusations of sexual violence. In 2008, the sports community announced measures to eradicate violence and sexual violence, but 15 years later, neither policy changes nor changes have been made to eradicate sexual violence. Accordingly, it is judged that it is time for the sports community to put the prepared measures into practice rather than preparing measures. It is hoped that this study will be a catalyst for changing the perception of sports ethics by identifying the ideology implied by sports sex crime reports and interpreting the meaning.
