본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정과 2022 개정 교육과정의 정책의 쟁점을 비교 분석하기 위해 정책 형성과 결정, 집행 단계에 따른 언론보도 동향을 토픽 모델링을 통해 분석하여 교육과정 개정에 대한 주요 관심사와 정책적 동향을 탐구하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 키워드 분석 결과, 2015 및 2022 개정 교육과정에서 '문ㆍ이과 융합교육'과 '고교학점제 도입'이 주요 키워드로 떠오르며, 각 교육과정에서는 특색 있는 주제와 논란이 강조되었다. 둘째, 토픽모델링 분석 결과, 교과목 신설, 학교현장 혁신 지원이 중요한 토픽으로 대두되었으며, 역사 교과에 대한 논란은 계속해서 제기되었다. 사회 변화와 이에 대응한 정책의 방향성과 관련하여 ‘디지털 대전환에 대응한 미래지향적 교육 확대’와 ‘미래 사회 대비 역량 함양’ 토픽이 드러났다. 셋째, 정책 단계에 따른 토픽 변화를 분석한 결과, 2015 및 2022 개정 교육과정 모두 교육과정 개정에 대한 합의와 논의가 정책 결정 단계에서 활발하게 이루어졌으며, 미래지향적 교육 확대에 대한 논의는 2015보다 2022에서 더 상승했다. 본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정과 2022 개정 교육과정의 정책 단계별 쟁점을 분석하고 각각의 정책 단계별 비교분석을 통해 향후 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다는 데 의의가 있다.
